How do you start your very own business when you have no team, no experience, and a thousand doubts?
In this post, I’ll walk you through the key steps I took to build my business, Radiant Body Arts, as a solopreneur. Whether you’re just starting or refining your path, I hope my story inspires and guides you.
1. Embracing My Why: The Soul Behind My Business
Before I could build a brand, I had to get clear on my why.
I knew I was passionate about helping people feel empowered and connected to themselves, but I had to ask: What transformation do I truly want to offer? How do I want to make people feel?
Tip: Before starting your very first business, take time to reflect on your mission. Ask yourself:
- What problem do I want to solve? What problem can I solve?
- Who do I want to serve?
- How does my business align with my personal values?
- What are my greatest strengths and skills and how can I bring them into my business?
2. Turning Passion into a Business Model
Having passion is one thing, but turning it into a profitable, sustainable business is another.
I started by offering Reiki sessions but quickly realized I needed structure. That’s when I decided to blend modalities to create my own methodology, creating deeper results for my clients, using all of my skills and setting myself apart in the wellness world.
How to Structure Your Solopreneur Business:
- Choose a business model (coaching, in person offerings, classes, services, or digital products).
- Identify your core offers that provide real transformation.
- Price your services confidently based on value, not just time.
Best Practice: Start with one main offer instead of trying to do everything at once. Master it, refine it, then expand.
You’ll also want to develop your method. How do you create change and transformation through your offers? What’s the journey you take your clients on?
3. Building an Online Presence with No Team
As a solopreneur, you wear all the hats! You are the CEO, marketer, content creator, and admin.
I knew that for my business to grow, I needed a strong online presence. But with no marketing background, I had to simplify my strategy:
- Instagram & Blogging – To share my insights and attract my dream clients.
- Email List – To build deeper connections and nurture leads.
- Website – To create credibility and an easy way for clients to book sessions.
I regularly update all of the above in addition to creating content to keep myself relevant and visible online. You’ll notice too that you are always changing and evolving so you’ll want your imagery and the language you use to be in harmony across all platforms, focusing on speaking to your ideal audience. This may sound like a lot but I promise it gets easier with time and the more you get clear on what you offer and how you show up.

4. Overcoming Self-Doubt and Impostor Syndrome
Let’s be real. There were days I questioned everything.
🌿 Common Fears I Faced:
❌ Who am I to teach this?
❌ What if no one books with me?
❌ What if I fail?
But I realized that the only way to succeed is to show up despite the fear.
How I Shifted My Mindset:
- I replaced doubt with devotion. I committed to my purpose no matter what. There was no other choice for me. I knew that I was meant for this deep in my bones.
- I sought out community, healers, and like-minded people for support.
- I learned to detach from perfection and focus on progress. Sometimes that meant putting out things that were not perfectly polished but I knew that it needed to be done. It’s kind of like when you move into a new place. It’s empty but you fill it up slowly, decorate intentionally and refine as you go.
Best Practice: Trust that your voice, your message, and your gifts are enough. Feel in your heart that you are here to serve and ask the higher power, whatever that is for you, to support you in bringing your gifts out and into the world so that you can fulfill your mission.
5. Creating Consistency and Momentum
Once I had clarity, an offer, and an online presence, the key was staying consistent.
How to Maintain Momentum as a Solopreneur:
- Set small, actionable goals to keep moving forward.
- Batch content and automate where possible.
- Stay connected with your community through emails, social media, and live sessions.
Final Thoughts
Starting my business as a solopreneur was one of the most transformative journeys of my life. It wasn’t just about creating income, it was about stepping into my power, actualizing my purpose, trusting myself, and helping others do the same.
